QueersInScience is an initiative that is building community and improving support for LGBTQIA+ people in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) in Australia. We recognise that welcoming and valuing LGBTQIA+ professionals and students is beneficial to individuals, organisations and the STEMM sector.

We are currently an unincorporated community organisation auspiced by the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) in Parkville, VIC.
We are open to anyone with an interest in supporting queer people working in Australian STEMM; whether identifying or not, researcher or not, employed in STEMM or not.
We do a range of activities from fun local community events, to advocacy, to inclusion workshops for STEMM institutes.
