The TAG TEAM program is a group cognitive-behaviour therapy intervention designed with, and for, trans and gender diverse young people.
- each group has up to 8 trans and gender diverse adolescents
- the program consists of 6 weekly 2-hour sessions, led by a psychologist and a trans peer facilitator
- the program is designed to improve mental health and well-being by targeting stressors and resilience factors that are commonly experienced by trans and gender diverse adolescents
We are testing the effectiveness of TAG TEAM in improving the mental health and wellbeing of trans and gender diverse adolescents aged 12-17 years. All eligible participants who enrol in the study will be offered to attend the TAG TEAM program. Eligible participants will be randomly allocated to one of two groups:
- one group will attend TAG TEAM once enrolled in the study
- the other group will be placed onto a waitlist to attend TAG TEAM after 4.5 months

Peer network & social meeting space for queer, transgender, gender diverse and neurodiverse adults that meets once a week on Thursdays, 4:00-6:00pm. This activity is run with the support of the Ballarat North Neighbourhood House. We welcome anyone 18 and above, with a focus on people over the age of 25 who are no longer able to attend youth events.
This activity is designed to be a cosy and low-pressure environment to socialise and meet people. It is run by community members. We encourage people to bring along art or craft projects to share and work on whilst here (some craft supplies supplied, such as paper crafts and adult colouring books). The room contains all-gender toilets, a kitchenette and elevator access. Water, tea, coffee and some snacks are provided.

SOCIAL BUTTERFLIES
We are a safe space for trans femmes, queers and allies. Social Butterflies host a monthly meet-up at DTs, typically on the fourth Friday of the month, but we do alter dates to avoid public holidays.
Since January 2021 we have been meeting monthly. Our events are specifically catered for the closeted. The warm and comfortable environment of DTs Hotel makes for a relatively stress free debut in your chosen gender. And for our regulars, it is a familiar home base to meet old friends monthly, trade tips, stories and to enjoy the therapeutic feeling of being in an environment where you are surrounded by people who understand what it feels like to be gender diverse.

Transgender, gender diverse, non-binary, genderqueer or questioning caregivers (parents, foster carers and kinship carers) can come together and experience the Circle of Security Parenting Program in an inclusive environment. The learning objectives of the program are for caregivers to learn to understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs, support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions, enhance the development of their child's self-esteem and honor their innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure.
Caregivers will have a 1-hour individual intake appointment to learn more about the program, decide if the program is right for them and hear about other helpful resources if needed ($311). The group then involves 8 X weekly 90-minute sessions where the group watches videos of caregivers and children interacting and a presenter talking about how to build secure attachment with their child, then reflecting together as a group with the support of the facilitator ($600). Six months old, and with also a small Melbourne Chapter, TWS provides a valuable resourse in a private safe space on Faceebook, Blusksy and soon Discord. It is a strong support network for trans women and non-brinary feminine leaning persons. We have a strong ephasis on community, we are the largest Trans women's Australian based group in Australia.
