Compass is a school in Davoren Park for young people aged 17-24. Compass is an alternative education option for young people who may not have thrived in mainstream school, or are facing barriers to living a meaningful life. Compass exists to help remove these barriers. It is free to attend, offers free breakfast and has free on-site childminding for young parents looking to re-engage with learning, amongst a bunch of other wraparound supports. There are no subjects, no bells and no uniforms. Instead, students learn through projects and workshops that are co-constructed around their own passions, interests and goals. They offer SACE and VET like any other secondary school, they just do it differently!
