“The Sex Discrimination Act provides vital protection against this harm. We welcome the Federal Court’s interpretation of this protection in its decision.” said President High de Kretser.

The court dismissed an appeal from Sall Grover and Giggle for Girls and sided with Roxanne Tickle.

Nationals MP Alison Penfold has vowed to bring in legislation that will remove some of the protections for people who are transgender.

The decision in the long-running case will be handed down on Friday.
