Trans and Gender Diverse people from across Victoria flocked to the Collingwood Town Hall last night as Transgender Victoria kicked off trans month with a bang with the Gender ‘Revel’ Gala.

The night was electric, with a plethora of standout performances being delivered by an all-transgender set of performers. Notable performances included Mama Alto’s incredible vocals, which captivated the audience.

The inaugural Transgender Visibility Awards were also awarded on the night. Kitty Obsidian, trans burlesque performer and professional firebreather taking home the nights’s most prestigious award.

Maddy Weeks, nominated as Best Newcomer at the 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, shared a captivating, funny, raunchy set of non-binary comedy with the mostly transgender audience.

Robert Baxter delivered a fantastic performance to round out the night, performing their new single, Suspicious alongside tracks from their Debut EP “You Wouldn’t Expect Cupid to Cry”.

  • 23/11 – Accessing Trans Healthcare

  • 27/11 – Change of I.D. Info Session

  • 30/11 – Trans Pride Picnic
