Farewell and Thank You to Our CEO, Jeremy Wiggins
After three and a half transformative years as CEO of Transcend Australia, Jeremy Wiggins (he/him) is stepping down to take on an executive role at a national youth mental health organisation.
During Jeremy’s tenure, Transcend Australia has grown from a volunteer-led support group into a nationally funded, community-led organisation, supporting thousands of families and trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse children across the country.
Jeremy’s leadership has been instrumental in:
- Establishing Transcend Australia as the leading national voice for families of trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse young people.
- Winning the 2022 Victorian Pride Award for Improving Health and Wellbeing.
- Expanding services nationally by building a dedicated team.
- Advocating for trans communities on Australia’s first National Strategy and 10-year Action Plan for LGBTQIA+ health and wellbeing.
- Securing diverse funding streams to ensure the organisation’s sustainability.
- Strengthening partnerships to enhance evidence-based practices.
- Amplifying the voices of trans young people and their families.
The Board of Transcend Australia extends its deepest gratitude to Jeremy for his exceptional leadership, dedication, and passion. As he embarks on his next chapter, we wish him every success and look forward to his continued contributions to the community.
Jeremy will remain in the CEO role for a while to ensure a smooth transition before stepping into his new position.
